Most files in this folder are public-domain works or faithful reproductions of public-domain artworks. Two files are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution licenses and REQUIRE attribution when used:

- Battle of Breitenfeld 7.9.1631.png — CC BY 4.0
- Nils-Forsberg-Gustav-II-Adolf.png — CC BY 3.0

For Creative Commons Attribution images, creators may crop, edit, add text, or otherwise adapt the image, but must give appropriate credit, link to the applicable license, and indicate if changes were made.

For public-domain images, attribution is generally not legally required, but crediting the artist and source is strongly recommended. Some jurisdictions may treat faithful photographic reproductions of public-domain artworks differently. Users are responsible for checking the requirements that apply to their own use and jurisdiction.
